The 9th European Vegetarian Congress is organized under the auspices of the European Vegetarian Union (EVU), an umbrella organization dedicated to the promotion of vegetarianism.
The EVU encourages vegetarian research and debate among all European organizations helping the various groups and vegetarian activists to meet their goals and guaranteeing better prospects for vegetarianism in Europe.

The EVU sponsors and organizes vegetarian congresses and events in different venues throughout Europe where old and new friends can get together and exchange ideas.
