Michela De Petris, Surgeon, specialized in Dietology.
She is an expert in vegetarian diet, macrobiotics and nutritional therapy for patients suffering from cancer.
She works as a consultant in the Department of Preventional Medicine at the National Institute for Cancer Research in Milano.
She graduated in Medicine and Surgery in the year 2000 from the University of Studies in Milano with maximum grades.
She then completed her specialization in Dietology last year at the University of Studies Milano-Bicocca with an experimental thesis on the effectiveness of a vegetarian-macrobiotic diet in reducing the risk of breast cancer.
Expert in nutritional therapy for patients suffering from cancer, starting in 2002,she currently works as a consultant in the Department of Preventional Medicine at the National Institute for Cancer Research in Milano.
As of this year she is a member of the Scientific Committee of the AVI.
Apart from running a clinic in the hospital she also holds courses on diet therapy at university and in schools and is occupied in nutritional research programs in the cancer field at the National Institute for Cancer Research in Milano.
