Tom Regan
Tom Regan is a Lecturer of Philosophy at North Carolina State University - USA,
member of the American Philosophical Association, founder and President of the Culture
and Animals Foundation.
He is the main representative together with Peter Singer, of Freedom for Animals movement, founded on refusal of the species.
With Singer he wrote " Animal rights, Human duties" (Edizioni Gruppo Abele, Torino 1987).
Without doubt his most important work is "The Case of Animal Rights" (1983),
published in Italy by Garzanti in 1990 under the title "I diritti animali".
Recently he published "Empty Cages", shortly to be released in Italy and edited by
Massimo Filippi.
